“I feel afraid when I bare my soul. I run the risk that others will despise me, ridicule me, or ignore me. But that’s who I am. That’s all I have to offer.” ~Cecil Murphy (Unleash the Writer Within)
As writers, fear haunts us, sometimes urging silently to keep pushing. At other times, fear renders us paralyzed, preventing progress on a novel, article, even a simple blog.
For today’s prompt, spend a few minutes (or hours) introspectively. Then write what fear or fears keep you from writing. Be honest. You don’t have to share, but if you post in the comments, I suspect you are not alone in the fear that stares you down.
